89 Year Old You
A downloadable Journaling TTRPG
The Game Itself: In this game, you will play the part of two characters. You now, and you when you are 89 years old. Based on prompts, you will write letters to one another, discussing life and hopefully gaining the perspective of a person looking back at the life well lived that still awaits you.
About Me: Never made a game before, but saw the 12 Micro TTRPGs in 12 Months Jam and thought it would be cool to try. I only had a day to work on it from inception of the idea to completion, and had to learn Publisher along the way.
Inspiration for the Game: The theme of Joy didn't speak to me at first. I couldn't work out how to make the game without conflict that a theme of Joy seemed to suggest. In the end, I decided that Joy was a matter of perspective, and the best perspective of all was retrospective.
